Spring Wildflowers

These two were taken just a little north of Flagstaff.  The weather there has been a bit cooler because of the high altitude, but mother nature has started showing her spring colors there as well!

Nancy and I also went south to the Santa Maria River near Bagdad for the below pictures..  The temperatures in that area are much warmer than in the northlands.  Bees and other insects were busy gathering nectar, so we had some competition when it came to photographing! Fortunately we didn't get bitten.

The California Poppies below were actually taken by the side of the road near our home in Camp Verde.  This has been an excellent year for wild flowers with all the rain we've been having.

How can one not get back to good health with all the beauty around
here?  There are so many places to see and explore, and only a
few minutes away from home!  The sky is sunny and clear almost
every day and the weather is just about the best in the country.
As I look at all the positive things there are about living in the Southwest,
it is no wonder so many people are retiring to this area!

By the way, if you're wondering what the other plants are in the pictures, I'm sorry but I haven't a clue.  Nancy is the one who has all that information, and she's at work at the moment while I'm creating the page.  All I know is that there's a yellow flower, a red one, and a purple one, and one is attached to a barrel cactus....or is that a pear cactus.....  If you really want to know, send an e-mail and I'll get the expert to fill me in so I can give you the correct information.

Also any typo's or odd sentence structure is because I didn't have Nancy proof my writing before rushing off to the university computer lab to ship this stuff off......
