We mentioned we like to travel towards Bagdad.  Every time we do we see something new.  In early Spring, we are assured of seeing lots of blooming flowers.  Here's some on a Saguaro cactus!

Saguaro close up We're not the only ones who love to get close to these blossoms -- you wouldn't believe all the bees keeping us company!  With the new strain of South American/African bees in the area, we usually don't interfere with their "business".

Prickly Pear The colors of the desert plants are really spectacular.  I don't recommend picking the flowers to put in a vase though -- you're likely to get pricked by some of the needles all over the plant.

Teddy Bear Cholla Some plants get really fuzzy.  The backlighting really brings out their delicate nature!
